Red River Charitable Foundation Hosts 5K in Support of Veterans

Rock Your Camo 5K and Fun Run

Claremont, N.H. – May 15, 2015 – The Red River Charitable Foundation (RRCF), Red River’s philanthropic organization hosted the first annual Rock Your Camo 5K and Fun Run to benefit two local Veterans organizations.

Operation Hat Trick (OHT) originated at the University of New Hampshire and generates awareness, support and funding for the recovery of America’s wounded warriors, both active service members and veterans. Operation Hat Trick pursues these goals through the sale of branded merchandise, proceeds of which are distributed to selected organizations that provide direct services to wounded warriors. Dot Sheehan, President and Founder of OHT attended the event. “I was honored to represent Operation Hat Trick at the Rock Your Camo Red River Charitable Foundation 5K Road Race on May 9.  Red River has been a great OHT partner and has been very supportive in our mission to support the recovery of wounded service members and veterans.  There’s a great need in NH and between OHT and Red River we are filling some of the white space that exists.  I applaud Red River for understanding the ongoing needs of our nation’s veterans.” Learn more by visiting

Larry Daigle, FoV President, offers the following comments, “On behalf of the whole Friends of Veterans organization we say thanks for your continued support. Your employees’ willingness to help veterans continues to amaze us and we thank them and Red River once again for this donation and the continued support of this and other fundraising events!” Learn more about FoV at

Rick Bolduc, Red River CEO and RRCF President said, “We are proud to show our support, thanks and respect to local veterans for their contributions to our military. The event was a huge success, well attended by over 200 runners. We look forward to hosting it each year and continuing our mission to support Veterans.”

Red River would like to thank the major sponsors of the event, the Common Man Restaurant and Heidi’s Simply Sweet Creations, who generously provided free lunch and cupcakes to all runners and volunteers.
