Red River Charitable Foundation Makes Donation to Friends of Veterans

Claremont, N.H. – February 16, 2016 – The Red River Charitable Foundation (RRCF), Red River’s philanthropic organization, announces its recent donation of $20,000 to support the Friends of Veterans Heating Fund. Friends of Veterans (FoV) is an all-volunteer, certified, non-profit organization that serves veterans throughout Vermont and New Hampshire. They are dedicated to helping fellow veterans and their families improve their lives to avoid homelessness.

This donation to the heating fund comes from the generosity of Red River employees through a variety of employee fundraising programs. It’s been a long standing tradition at Red River for employees to contribute enthusiastically to the many philanthropic activities that we as a company sponsor.

Rick Bolduc, Red River CEO and RRCF President said, “Early in 2016 we changed the name of our foundation from the Red River Technology Foundation to the Red River Charitable Foundation. The name will allow us to expand our outreach into new geographies and some new initiatives. Support for our veterans remains one of our most critical focus areas – we are proud to show our support, thanks and respect to local veterans for their service to our country. Funding for heating assistance for our veterans, particularly during cold New England winters, makes a real quality-of-life difference and is an area we will continue to support.”

Larry Daigle, FoV President, offers the following comments, “Once again Red River and their foundation have stepped forward and provided a generous donation to Friends of Veterans, Inc. fuel assistance program. Funds for fuel assistance continues to be the most difficult to acquire. It comes at a time when the need is most critical. On behalf of the whole Friends of Veterans, Inc. organization we say thanks for your continued support. Your employees’ willingness to help veterans and this worthy cause continues to amaze us. THANK YOU!”

Red River is committed to our partnership with FoV and are honored be the major corporate sponsor again for their upcoming charity hockey game and golf tournament this year. We encourage others to support FoV and are happy to spread the word about the organization’s great contributions to our community. To learn more about FoV visit www.fovvtnh.org.
